As we reported yesterday in "Christmas Tree Sales Benefit Your Favorite Neighborhood Schools," Tom Foley donates to PTAs of neighborhood schools part of the profit he makes from selling Christmas trees.
When you buy a tree from Tom, tell him you want him to donate $10 to the PTA of the school of your choice (from the list below). Then sign the school's signature sheet.
This is the list of schools that are participating in the fund raising effort this year:
Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, and
St. Saviour Catholic Academy.
The tree stand that Tom operates is at 724 8th Avenue, near the corner of 8th Street. This is the schedule of its open hours:
Mondays through Fridays, 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.,
Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and
Sundays, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Encourage family and friends who buy trees to buy theirs from Tom so that PTAs can reap the rewards. You can be part of this fund raising effort whether or not you have a child in a school.
Tree delivery is free. Setting up the tree is also free if your tree stand is already in place.
